rattling by heat shield

So, I have this rattling noise coming by the heat shield. Only does it when I'm in any gear other than P and N. Just now I have noticed it in the cab. Really irritating and would like to get it fixed. If you guys have any idea to what it would be, I'm all ears.

I had this issue with my 1st gen 92 XLT. Heat shields are spot-welded, some spots gave up and the heatshield rattled. I fixed it with stainless steel hose clamps from Homedepot. You can easily combine clamps to get the length you need to put the clamp around the heat shield.

Having said that... On my wifes '05 XLT I also had rattling coming from the left catalytic converter, right from inside of it. Rattling and trouble code reporting this converter dead. Ended up replacing the whole Y-pipe...

Well, if it does seem to be the cat, then I'll just replace the whole thing as I plan to get a flow master muffler soon. If it is the heat shield, then I'll definitely do that! Thanks.
