remote start w/smart phone

Does anyone know if this can be done? I have a new 2013 Sport which came w/remote start. Can this vehicle be started with some sort of smartphone app?

I went to start my Ex last night to find out it did not start.(it does work as it did try it at home b/4 i left) I couldn't see the vehicle to verify if it did or didn't until i left the building to find out it didnt I wish Ford had put some sort of light or sensor on the remote to inform whether it started or didn't.

ugh, didnt want to have to pay for another system.

Does Ford offer anything through Sync, GPS, Nav?

Not at this time for the Explorer. Even when they do you would have to get a cellular receiver for the EX which will cost about as much as the Viper.
