Remove A Vehicle from SyncMyRide.com

Does anyone know how to remove a vehicle you have already added to syncmyride.com?

I tried Googleing and such, and no info was found.

Good question. Have you tried calling Ford directly? Their customer service line might be able to help with that.

Hi Matt and Vince!

To remove a vehicle from your SYNC account, please do the following:

  • After logging in, click on ACCOUNT SETTINGS.
  • Under VEHICLE'S INFORMATION, click on DELETE THIS VEHICLE.
  • You will receive a pop-up message asking if you're sure you want to delete the vehicle, click on YES, REMOVE THIS VEHICLE.

I do not have the option of "DELETE THIS VEHICLE"...it only allows me to Edit which I can only choose my "nav type - basically if you have a base model or XLT/LTD" or change the vehicles nickname.

You have to add your new vehicle to the account before you're able to delete the previous vehicle. Sorry, Matt! I should have specified this in my previous post.

I just logged on to my account and also do not see any way to delete a vehicle. I can ADD to my current vehicle or EDIT the info, but following Rebecca's instructions I do not see where it gives the option to "DELETE THIS VEHICLE".
I'm not looking to delete mine, I just wanted to check it out.

Matt, it looks like we are going to own our vehicles forever. :D

Peter,

I think you have to add another vehicle to delete one. Which makes sense. You can either keep both vehicles (if you have more than one Ford) or delete one if you got another one.

Hi, Peter!

You'd have to add a new vehicle to your account in order to delete your current Explorer. Let's say you purchased a new Focus and sold your Ex, you would log in to your account on SyncMyRide and add the Focus; then you'll be able to delete the Ex.

Okay, I think you're right Matt. I re-read Rebecca's response and it seems that makes sense.
Not sure what happens if you get rid of the Explorer and don't get another one with Sync in it to replace the one on file. I guess they must have a way to track something like that through other channels and delete your account.

If you don't log in for a year, your SYNC account will become inactive. :)
