It depends whether or not you are refering to the Bahn's in the fwd version or rwd version. Either will fit, but the fwd will be tucked well inside the wheel wells. I suggest that you look into "truck wheels", which means that they have the proper backspacing for your explorer. You can still get 17's, no prob. If you do get 17's, you'll want a tire size around a 245/50-17, unless you want a real low profile.
