There is no battery light re-set. Usually the light means your alternator is shot, not that the battery is dead. It's basically telling you the charging system is not working.

Thats what I thought and after replacing the battery, alternator, tensioner and belt, I still get the battery light.... all of which was replaced yesterday and still have the same problem.... bad enough that as I was driving last night down the highway the whole thing died on me.. had the alternator tested, was charging.... at this point I dont know.. had to tow it in to the dealer last night, hopefully they can at least hook it up to the puter and give me an idea of whats messed up....

I appreciate you taking some time to respond!!!!

Jim

There are also some fuses and fusible links in the power distribution box under the hood that can cause the same problems if they are blown. You may want to check them to make sure they're good.

Thanks.... I didnt even think about those.....

THe positive cabling in the first gens is prone to corosion and eventualy being super resistant. Happened to me and a couple friends. That wireing likes to go bad

I would replace both the postive and ground cables. Its cheap easy and will eliminate one more possibility.
