Return to Los Coyotes! Sept 14-15

Xploder, you'll be fine.

Rick, rather than parking in the street in front of my or Tom's house, I recommend staying at South Carlsbad State Beach campground. It's a couple miles from each of our houses, and right on the beach. It's real nice. $12 for a developed site, 34' RV max, trailer okay. 1-800-444-7275.

Meeting place and time?

You can count me in for this weekend, just wanted to know what time and where exactly everyone was going to meet. One of my wheeling buddies may come too in his stock Heep....i mean Jeep.

I'm not going to be able to make it unless I can find an extended rear brakeline for the X. It's too short. Any suggestions?

Bill, Tom, I decided to just go straight to the res on Friday afternoon. That's if it ever stops raining!

Ron, I thought you were in the offroad accessories business! Is there an Earl's outlet in the I.E.? There's one here in San Marcos. Or buy the Superlift kit from FWPW.

Rick, we had a little rain here, too. First measurable amount since April. I saw on the weather that you guys are getting dumped on!

Yeah, it's been raining since Friday. We got caught in a massive hail storm on Saturday. It was pretty cool!

Hey Ron, I just happen to have an extended stainless steel brakeline from skyjacker...its used but theres nothing wrong with it. I had to buy a new one so i could get the T-block, they wouldn't sell me just the T-block.
If your interested email me and we can work something out,
Dave

Ok, I'm coming friday afternoon - probably be there after 6. (depends on traffic in LA)

I'm leaving sunday noon, so I can get back here at a decent hour (about 8pm).

So what does this mean, Tom? That you are bringing the Sami down???

Nope. it's still in the garage.

Idea #1 doesn't appear to work on it, so I'm on to Sure Fire Idea #2 now, that DOES work.

So it's delayed..

I'm driving down the F150. Not going to off-road that monster - it's too long, and I don't want pin striping in the paint.

Will the Superlift kit work on mine? There was only one available for the Older X's, is it the same in the rear? Thanks for the help, this is driving me insane.

It ought to, but I can't say for sure. Find one and compare the ends to yours. Also, maybe DB_1 can email you a pic of his extra one to see if it would work.

DB_1 I just emailed you, please check you're mail.

RangerX, thanks, I actually missed his post. I hope it will work.

Wish I could make it. :( Broke the truck up pretty bad the last two weekends of wheeling and it is down. Also have a ton of work I need to catch up on. Hopefully next time me and my truck will be ready.

Matt

Yup, brake line will work...looking at the reciept for the new one I bought which is exactly the same as the old one, it says it fits ranger/bronc II/explorer.

Hey Bill what is the name of the road to turn onto the Res. again? I think it's San Ignacio but i'm not sure.

Yes, San Ignacio. It's on the left, just after the gas station in the center of Warner Springs.

Looks like i'll be going just for a day trip on Sat up at Los Coyotes. How does 9 am sound again for a meeting time? Let me know what everyone decides as well as a meeting place and a CB channel,
Dave

Doesn't look like I'm gonna make it. :(

I've got a bearing screaming its head off between 10-30 mph. Looks like I get to take the front end apart . . . again. Who thought that 35's would be a good idea?. . oh, I guess that was me.

Jefe,

Do you suggest I continue to run my 33s, but mount the 35s on aluminum rims (for weight reduction) and only run them on worthy runs like Truckhaven, Sierra's, etc...?

I commute about 100 miles a day.
