I figured I would post to save others some time. I had a problem when I put my right turn signal on it would sometimes buzz and not flash. I tracked it down to front right turn signal. Wire was rubbing against body and shorting out. I put some electrical tape around wires to correct.

all be damned.

i had that problem on my old explorer with the left signal.
never could figure out why it did it.

I'LL BE DAMNED TOO. MINE DOES THE SAME THING FROM TIME TO TIME.

I'll get a buzzing sound from time to time if I am a little rough with the signal lever on a right turn on my 96 LTD. Does the buzz seem to come from the steering colmn? Where did you find the exposed wire?

I found it in the wires that go into the front turn signal housing. My right signal was buzzing, so it was a wire on the right side. If your left signal is buzzing it will be on your left signal housing.

What is actually buzzing is the turn signal relay under your dash. It is yellow, look uo under your dash and you will see it above your brake pedals

Great Info. Thanks Ron
