HEy guys I rolled 2 times over a drop off. Pics are on the way but at the moment I am trying to start it and am so close. No motor damage was done just body. The battery was not bolted down and cracked, I put a new bat in and it acts like there no enough juice. I jump it with a 200 amp starter and the guage shoots past 18V. But clicks like not enough power. What is missing? after the wreck it would crank like 2 times but not fast enough. I gotta get it down befor the night is over! Can anyone help a fallen brother? lol

Voltage regulator!

Your 92 might have a fuel cutoff switch. It might be as simple as resetting it.

Ok can I test the regulator. Where do you think the switch is for the fuel pump (Is it the one that is under carpet on the passanger side) I pushed it off and then back on.

But clicks like not enough power.

i wouldnt think it's the cutoff switch under those conditions alec. but you do need to go into the passenger side floor board and push the button anyway after a rollover.

P.S.- the regulator is on the fenderwell near the battery. the battery probably juiced it when it split, plus it could have physical damage.

edit: typo.

That's the inertia switch then. Maybe your starter got knocked loose?

na i cheked the starter and its bolted on firmly. So is the switch under the passanger side carpet the restet switch? If so how would that effect the crank?

Ok it started with a diff bat. But it chocks out a the check engin light comes off and on. O yea so much smoke my whole house is fogged out. If I keep the gas to it it runs but when I let off it dies. What chould that be?

It now hold a good idel but lots of white smoke comes from the exhuast. Is that normal after a roll over? Oil did leak and i put more in. Will it fix itself or is there room to worry?

Yes the smoke is normal after a roll. Oil gets all sorts of places it's not supposed to be.

When you go upside down oil drains into your intake tube so check that for oil contamination as well as the throttle body and MAS.

Sorry to hear about the roll... Details??

as far as i remember back, clouds of white smoke tell of water in the engine.

edit: or as rick said, oil also.

Normally white is water and blue is oil, but when I've seen roll overs the smoke just seems white. I think it only looks blue when you're burning a little from bad rings or what not.

Rick is right, when you have a roll over the smoke will be white. They can REALLY SMOKE sometimes depending on how much oil is in the intake. You should clean out the black tube between the air filter and intake, plus change your air filter. There will be some oil there also.

The check engine light and idle is definately from oil on the mass air flow sensor. Pull it out and shoot it with some carb cleaner and you should be good.

Might also need new plugs, as they could have gotten fouled.

Another roll over thread.
Yeah, fluids go every where during roll overs. Spare change too but that is a good thing.

Things are gonna be funkey for a good wile, till all the fluids " go back where they belong "
Having your battery bounce around you are lucky you did not short any thing out.

Before you drive again, give ALL your fluids a good once over. ( no pun intended ) Balance your tires.

The body, that is another story.

OK it seems to run now , no more smoking and the power is good, smell some weird stuff (kinda like wires burning) Found nothing, started working on the body. If anyone knows where I can post the pics (store them on the web) please tell me and they will be up that day

go to google.com and search for free photo hosts. you might have to post the link to the photo album though, rather than the pics. most all free hosts have started cracking down on remote linking.
