Hmmm.. A little wax, some scrubbing and it should be ready for the Show & Shine!

Glad to hear you came out OK.

That sucks.....awaiting story.....Glad you are ok.

I saw your sig a few minutes b4 I read this. Hate to see that happen to such a nice truck :( I say make it into a trail rig. Glad your OK, STORY please

:(

Is there anything that I need to do, since it was on its roof for a while(engine wise)? Or should it start right up, and run?

Will post story in a bit.. but its not very exciting.

Sorry to hear about this. Looks like my Sport Trac did after my roll over. Keep us up to date.

First, check the oil level. When ours rolled, it sat on it's side for over an hour, and we lost 3 quarts of oil.

Second, check the air filter and MAF...good chance they may have oil all over them. If they do, replace the filter and clean the MAF.

Third, check the battery to make sure the acid didn't leak out. If it did, mix up a solution of water and baking soda, and spray EVERYTHING that the acid might have gotten onto. The baking soda will neutralize the acid, preventing the acid from eating the metal or plastic.

Fourth, check the brake fluid, tranny fluid, xfer case, axles, etc. to make sure you aren't going to damage something because it's low on fluid. The only system that can really handle being upside down for an extended period of time without losing fluids is the cooling system. Sooner or later, all the other systems will lose fluid.

When we first started our truck after it rolled, it ran rough and tossed a bunch of codes at us. Every one was from a dirty sensor or fouled plugs. Once it ran for a while, it started to get better. I then ran some intake cleaner through the motor, and it fixed all the codes. It's amazing the places oil can get to when the motor is sitting upside down  !

Oil *check
Maf cleaner *check
Air filter *check
t-case/tranny fluid *check
Im running an optima, so no worries there
and I need to look into gear oil.. and how to check the levels. Thanks a ton for the post!

Might just take a look at the underside of the EX, if you lost any gear oil would think it would be quite obvious

The only place it might come out, is the breathers, no? I extended mine, if that makes a difference. Thanks Spindle

Correct
My only rollover was in my dodge power wagon, four times on altamont pass, landed on the roof, sat for maybe 12 hrs, all the gearoil ran out of the front and rear diffs, was very obvious

When our X went over, surprisingly enough we didn't lose any fluids except oil and battery...probably because it laid on it's side instead of the roof. Our X even fired up with oil all through the intake and filter, it just ran crappy and blew smoke for a while. The motor is currently residing in BigCheck1's Explorer.

Thanks for the help guys.

Ok, went down the smornin' and took apart the intake, and MAF. I forgot my damn MAF cleaner though  so I just cleaned as much up as I could. Checked all the fluids, and I need: Oil, Power steering, ATF(t-case). I tried to check the tranny, but I couldnt get the damn fill plug out. There was also a small amount of gear oil, that had dripped from the front breather.. I dont think its a big issue though.

Tomorrow, I will replace all the fluids, and drive her home.. I just hope I dont get pulled over LOL

Got her home, and she drives perfect. Started up on the first crank. Still waiting on my insurance.. and im starting to get a bit angry. Anyway.. here are some updated pics, still ot sure what I will do.

:( I think it still looks real tough.

Are you going to be looking for sheet metal?

Not sure yet. Depending on how much insurance will give me for it, and how much the buyback is I may have to part it out to recover. If they give me enough, and I buyback cheap, then I may fix it up. Needs new fenders, hood, pass door, and work on the roof.

Sorry to here that premier. But dam dude that thing still looks mean with half the side bashed in! I say fix the window and thats all. HAHA
