Roof Light bar for x no mods required?

What are lights on the roof supposed to really help with? The way I see it.. fogs.. low to the ground..ect.. driving lights.. good location in front.. (Are all driving lights pencil beam to shoot forward as much as possible?) Is there a certain type of light that's made for the roof? To spread the light a certain way?

where did u run the wires to?

He most likely did what I did with my CB antenna, had the wire run down from the roof and through the door jam area into whatever he has trigger his lights. There's all kinds of places on your trucks that you can hide wires in, panels n such.
