Rough Idle on 97 Limited 5.0L

I would say that if you were to use it, make sure that it has gotten tacky, and that you haven't used to much. Wouldn't be good in the combustion chamber, or sticking to your valves. You'd probably be best off with grommets.

it was real tough to get the pcv valve back in but the hose is real stiff and the valve doesn't completely go back in because of the flexibility of the hose but when I got it back in it was a night and day difference idled good took it for a test drive no bad idle nothing let it idle for 20 mins all was good then it started idling back again I think it's slipping back out so jon you're right I'm going to buy a new more flexible hose and a grommet

You have to find a grommet and valve which fit tightly. It's best to start over with a new hose and all. It seems to me the old hose doesn't flex, and it will itself pull the valve loose also. I remeber it took a few grommets to find the right one.
