Here is my build up. Right now in no particular order. However that will change once I get things organized a bit.

This is how you pull a truck out of the garage with no drive train under it. Needed to wash the dirt out of the engine bay once the motor was removed.

Laying under the Ex to shift into 4x4. New Transfercase that is going into it. Not so sure I will use this one yet or not. Would like a doubler but we will see how it all lays out under.

The reason for the engine swap.
1. Because I want to.
2. 4.0 was running bad, would not idle and did not want to put money into it.
3. Whole combo of engine, tranny, and transfercase PLUS hoist cost me $400.
4. Power + Auto should be fun.
5. Paid $650 for the Explorer. (yup thats six hundred and fifty!)

Yeah I hope so! I have gathered up some GT40p heads and will take those plus the block to a machinist here soon and have them build it up. I still need an upper intake, as I tossed the 5.8 one as its to tall and restrictive. I will be going with a Mustang or Explorer style one. This is a budget build.

Budget breakdown.
$650.00 paid for Ex
$400.00 for Motor Tranny T/C Engine Hoist
$150 for Clutch Slave Cylinder
($140) for scrap money from older motor tranny and t/c
$40 for metal for front bumper

I have a '91 vintage upper and lower intake manifold if you want it. It is a little dirty, and a little oxidized, but the price is right. (A little heavy though, so not sure if shipping would be worth it.)

I might have to take you up on that. Let me get through this weekend and by next weekend there should be some "play" money in the the "play" account again. From what I have read there isn't a whole lot of differences on these upper intakes. Except for whatever badge might be on them.
