running boards, help me out please

i am going to swap running boards with my friend.
he is selling his truck.

both are 4 door X's.

should the running boards mount the same or in the same style/manner?

If the X's are from the same generation, they should be direct bolt up's. If you take a look at the aftermarket fitment guides, all list 91-94 as having the same part #'s. The only thing that may make a difference is trim level. Check to see how the fender flares meet the running boards. If that is the same, you should have no problems.

Well, First off, what year Explorer is your friends?

We know yours is a 1992, Correct?

Do the Running Boards look the same?

i have a set of those running boards... courtousy of paragon.... if you want them they are all bent and wrinkeled and ran them over several times tring to go up this hill..... no but seriously any first gen up till 94 will fit... they are a pita to take off but easy to put back on....
