Finally i found the cure to those ugly looking rust stains under the hinges of the rear window. I have a 98' XLT and have tryed EVERYTHING to get the crap off. I went to ACE hardware store and found a grey bottle of this stuff...i completely forgot the name but its something along the lines of having green white and red stripes on the bottle each containing lime...something...and rust...I know its a popular name but i left it at a friends house. PM me tomorrow for the exact name. just take some of this and rub it with a toothbrush. PM me for all info...but its completely gone with some elbow greese!

CLR? Calcium, Lime, and Rust?

looking for an update to this....

There is a brand called Lime Rust Remover, I believe. I never have used it myself but I heard it works very well.

Ammonia will also take off these stains. Not a window cleaner with ammonia, just straight ammonia.

It has to be CLR - the description of the bottle matches.

LOL, so what he posted a cure that we all see and have and left us hanging? What's the deal? Would be easier for him to post all the information instead of each of us PM'ing him for the information. Is he still around cause I have some of those ugly spots on my rear glass I would like to remove.

I used acetone....from the paint department....at Lowe's.
