HI,
I have a 2005 Explorer XLT with a cloth interior and the electric six way driver seat base. I am considering installing some leather seats from a higher end model. In reading several threads on this forum I have learned seats from a 2002-2005 Eddie Bauer or Limited edition as well as seats from the same year Aviator and Mountaineer should fit and bolt in without modifications to the seat rails.
My question concerns the electrical harness. Does my 05 have the same wiring harness as these higher optioned editions when it comes to the seats? The current cloth seats are not heated so would heated seats from an Eddie Bauer/Limited plug into my existing harness? I have no switch for heated seats but I assume I could add switches somewhere in the vehicle?
