Well I hate to be a party pooper and take this thread back to the original topic... The 2004 SD.... I also own one, hence the username. Google "EGR Delete". It's a cheap fix to the ford SD head gasket problem. Do it before you have any problems, because sooner or later you will. Do it now and you won't have to do the head gaskets at the same time. Mine is in right now getting head gaskets and the delete and ARP head bolts.

had the same issue with mine. I have an 06 and did the egr cooler delete but it was too late. Ford ended up putting a brand new short block in the truck. Then, I had the arp head studs put in it and the pcv bypass so now the truck is good to go. The best part is I only paid for the head studs (which the dealer stocked arp studs:D) so I was making out good! The service manager at bergey's ford in ambler pennsylvania is the ****!!!

Truck has been doing great. I've been commuting it solid for the last six months. Just oil changes and fuel. I did get some new wheels and tires last March that I forgot to mention. I was on my way to Tahoe for a bachelor party and figured I better get some rubber. I'm still missing the center caps for the front though. :( 35" Toyo MTs on Weld Super Single IIs.

I'm over here in Eureka for work and took her down to the dunes. Not an entirely good idea. The heavy beast of dying to get stuck!

Okay. I've about had it with these Toyo E rated tires. Everyone raved about them but they ride like a Flintstones car. When the tire shop put them on I thought they over-inflated them. But no. They're just rock hard.

So my next tires are going to be the BFG MTs in the D rating. That's what the MT/Rs were I took off. Unless anyone has other suggestions.

Its the dual shocks ;)

...If you had the MT/R's on there, you will love the KM2's...

...I went from the MT/R's to the KM2's on my X and I am sold...I hope they last as long as KO's but I'm sure they will last better than MT/R's and they are quiet and ride nice...:biggthump

I are the sorry but I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum - I think you need to go with an all-season (or something more for the road) rather than "off-road" tires.

Just my $0.0000002

For sure a "D" Rated tire. My 150 came with E's and when I put the BFG's on I went to a D tire. Much happier:thumbsup:

The ATs are an option. It's just harder to pull off having a 35"+ all terrain. :D In my humble opinion.

You should try 'H' range tires. They are rocks, until you put 3k lbs of weight in the bed..

Just look at this way, smother ride, last's a heck of a lot longer then a MT, cheaper, still looks good, and still will get you where you want to go in the dirt. Besides most of your miles are street miles, right?

Most are, but this is also my snow/winter Christmas tree getter. So I'd like to have something have way decent for that.

Think someone needs to spend more quality time with the Mrs.

:D

I found a smokin' deal on some 18's which the seller said came off his '04. So I picked them up and bought some new KM2s and had 4WheelParts mount them up. Brought them home last night and threw them on. I'm not happy about the backspacing. :( They're for an 05-07 truck. So.. I might try and find another set of 18's I like or... who knows..

Anyway, here are some pics. I think it makes the truck look a little more up to date.

Three and a half years later I finally got the nerve to replace the in dash DVD player.

Its a JVC. Cool thing is it has a detachable face! So I can take it out when I have to leave the truck places. I also added a backup camera this time. Think I'll add a monitor or two in the rear somewhere for the kids.
