That is a pretty cool unit too. To be honest I didn't do a whole lot of research on these things. I had the stock unit back in there for the last three and a half years... and a couple weeks ago it started drawing 1.5 amps no matter what. So every morning the batteries were dead. Long story short.. I was tired of having no radio at all so I just picked this thing up.

But you're right. DVDs are a pain in the ass. I started ripping all of mine and putting them on a hard drive plugged into the back of my TV. Jeanyus

I like the new toys, Someday i'd like to get something similar. I don't think i've even played a CD in my truck since I bought it. I either play the radio or plug in my ipod.

Same here, Dave. I've got the 6 disc in dash in my truck and have never put a disc in there. I don't listen to the radio though, just the iPod.

Look killer. A double din is next on the list for my shiz.

UPS just brought my $33 JVC iPod cable so now I can watch videos from the iPhone and use the GPS app. I'll install it tonight.

On a related topic... some dude-stuff is going on in the garage.

Yeah, the one acting as a bicycle tire rack isn't wired up yet. :(

So here is my painting project. It looks like a solid B/B+ in person. I'm pretty happy about it considering my painting handicap. More pics tomorrow in better lighting.

Its back on now. Gonna need a little touch up in a spot or two around the windows from the masking tape job. But not too noticeable. Here is a before and after. At least its better than white. :D

I think it looks 100% better than white, and from the pic, it looks for the most part a near perfect color match to the rig. Props Bud.

Looking good mate...

Lost my fuel pump the other day. Ordered a new pump and a bunch of other dude-stuff.

Column mount gauge pod, Glowshift gauge, a fuel pressure hose with a test port, etc.

LMAO!! Got to love that dude stuff:D

I take it the lift pump died and not the injection pump? Did you upgrade or stay with factory? There's so much "dude-stuff" available for diesels it's like a kid a candy store.

Yup, just what Ford calls the Horizontal Fuel Condition Module. Its the lift pump on the frame rail below the driver. Easy access, four fuel lines, three harnesses, and its out. You just get a little diesel bath because of the location.

This is the hose I added:

It threads into the test port on the fuel bowl and allows you to use a mechanical gauge under the hood or hook up your pressue sender away from the motor heat and vibrations (which is what I did).

Next on the list is the Edge Insight CTS. That dood will pretty much give me all the info I'll ever need. Engine oil temp, engine coolant temp, etc etc.

After four years and maybe 15k miles I developed a pretty intense bulge on my BFG MT. It's a bummer because the tire shop said they're at about 75% still. But I did get a 25% discount off a new tire.

I ended up ordering a set of the new AT KO2 because of the amount of towing I'm doing these days with the truck. Hopefully they'll ride a little quieter on the road but still do okay in the snow for christmas tree hunting. Stay tuned.

Had a tire on the wife's do that and didn't notice. Thought it was the rack and pinion. Actually replaced the rack and Pinon and when I went to put the wheel back I noticed and said WTF!. Another one did the same right after. They were also BFG'S

I read online about this happening on several of the BFG MT 35 on 18 tires. As much as that worried me.. I've had the Toyos and Goodyears on this truck and both of those rode horrible ALL THE TIME. So I decided to risk it with BFG. :D

Have you heard of these steering boxes? Redhead Steering Gears. I may try one out as mine has had a dead spot in it for.. oh.. 8 years. :(
