I have a 95 EX, and I hear a lot of good things about the Shift Enhancer or whatever it's called. I'll hopefully have my turbo put in, by 2 weeks maybe 3, and I figured since I've got a bit of time, I'll order one of these and throw it on, and also change out my brand new muffler I just put on to get a Flowmaster 2 chamber or something like that, So that it actually sounds mean, when it's ripping up all the ricers.

So, anyway where do I order one of these from and how much are they?

And also since I'll be putting a turbo on, I don't think that a Chip will really work or will it? And if it will, will it work in conjunction with the Shift Enhancer thing.

If i'm not mistaken I thought I saw someone say it was only a few wires, and like 30-40 bucks or something.

NO a generic chip will NOT work with a turbo setup. I dont see how its possible you're getting a turbo without a chip anyway. I dont see the factory program keeping up. You'll have to have some kind of chip or piggy back to manage the fuel system with a turbo. Get the chip dyno tuned and have the trasnprogram done. It will firm up shifts and give better shift points.

Personally I think its a bit far fetched that you have a turbo going in and dont even know about a chip to control it.......

The shift improver you are talking about is from B&M Mfg. Yes, they are about $40 and yes, they do just take two or three wires to hook into that kick panel on the passenger side. It recalibrates your shift points much like a chip would. If you don't want a chip, just get the improver, but if you are getting a chip anyway the only benifit is being able to flip a switch from firmer to smoother shifts. Be cautious, they didn't make one for my '00 Ranger w/the 5sp auto, so call B&M first. I think its a good idea, when I had mine flushed, it was running 14 psi of pressure (the reason it shifts like butter) wheras a chev 350 turbo trans (80's Chev PU's) ran around 40 psi. All that heat from the low fluid press can do damage under a consistant load. Course, thats just my opinion...I could be wrong!
