A sticker with a whole lot of info on the edge of the driver door, where the door meets the B-pillar.

I have had the thing on for liek a week now, and i love it. I have not had time to do the heat sink thing, but the little box is hanging from under the dash. It slipped down one time and burned my leg though, i was upset. I got over it though, cuz i love the thing...and the little swtich looks cool too...

i want one!!!!!!!!!!!
i have the money... but last week I got a $200 bbk throttle body with my money from my own job (i'm 16). But my dad was still mad that i got it saying "You don't need it".
I was like... i know, but thats why i got a job, so i can get things i want :) :)

"Tru dat!"

it was worht the 10 minute install and the $38.40....:D

I can't premote it enough...

By the way, how do you like that TB?

I get my TB in a few days, I think it got shipped today

throttle body is a waste of money

helped me out, even before the s/c. At the time, I had intake, exhaust, chip + the new TB. really felt a difference.

The throttle body is not a wate of money. It just needs to be used for what it;s intended for, to change the throttle response and remove more restriction from the stock intake system.

Obviously you can install a open element air filter on the end of your MAS sensor, use a custom bent intake tube and remove the stock air silencer, do a full custom high flow exhaust with headers, etc.... at this time your biggest retriction will be the factory MAS sensor, so you can get a larger aftermarket unit to remove that restriction, then it's time to remove the final bottleneck, which is the stock TB.
You are only as good as your smallest bottleneck.

So yes blowing $200 on the BBK 66mm TB may seem like a wste of $$$ if thats the only modification you make, but if your stock throttle body is your only factroy intake restriction left, it can yield great performance improvements.....in Alec's cace with a blower it;s a must have.

You will lose some low end torque simply because you are changing the throttle response, but I make up for that with all my other mods......

I have K&N KIPK, ordered the TB, next i'll probably get exhaust, then a chip

good plan, dont forget to check your throttle cable for slack and dont overlook the larger MAS sensor either, the Granatelli 70mm MAS I got was one of the best mods I have made....increased MPG and power, especially up here at high altitude....

pics...

can someone shoot some pics of the shift kit mounted. Thanks!

i will later tonight for ya

This is where I put mine, and it doesn't get hot like everyone else's does. Too bad I don't have a better picture.

The switch isn't what gets hot, it is the box located further down the wire that they are referring to that controlls the settings.

kinda hard to see, but mine is under the dash by my left leg:

Could this be mounted under the hood with the switch inside?

The wire between the 2 is fairly short. I have instructions as to my solution in another thread.

if i remember right, the box that gets hot is about 2 feet away from the switch, mine gets very warm, but not fire hazard hot... so i stuck it under the carpet.
You could mount the switch under the hood, and have the small box under there too, if that is what you are asking. I'm not sure why you would want to, as then you would not be able to switch modes. The down shifts when on extra firm make my pedal shudder, and my tranny sounds really loud going back down. I wouldn't want it on all the time.
