it will work with tranny code D, E, P, U, H, L, and V.
Lowdpipes- if your tranny is one of these codes, i wouldnt worry about it. it does say to-97, but im 99% sure someone has one on a 98-up on this board.
basically, if you have one of these tranny codes, it will work.
dam man i would rather have a mechanical shifter improver but 170 plus like another 100-200 for install! That's alot of money just for that... I think i'll go with the electronic shifter....What website is selling them?
Installed B&M 70381 on my 98XLT with no problems. So if you doubting that it will work on anything but 95-97 no fears. I would like to know why they only specify those model years, and hopefully this will not screw up my car in the long run ...but hey it works....
I looked at my door jam sticker. There's a "TR" w/ a T under it. Is this the Trans Code? What is trans code T? Can I use the B&M thing? From reading this thread, I think I'm the only one here w/ a "T". What gives? or am I looking in the wrong place? Thanx much,
where did you guys run the wires? I looked everywhere in the firewall and couldn't find a rubber grommet to run it through, and would rather not drill any holes.
Also, any idea if this would invalidate a factory warantee?
is it white?
guess I'll just hafta go do some more lookin... swear I couldn't find any though. I did see a white one, that already had something going through it and couldn't for the life of me get the wires through. Guess I just may have to somehow open it up some more
mine is black and it already had a bunch of factory wires going through it. I opened up the side of it with a utility knife. Now I have about 30-40 more wires running through it!
Yeah, on the 98, mine, the wires were all different. Basically, just look at the numbers on the sheet it comes with and match them to the number on the ECU. The wires were the right colors just not where their instructions said they were. Works great though!
