Shift motor rebuilt now wtf? lol

That thread was truly awesome. I followed everything to the "T" in that thread except putting 12V on the motor to test it before I re-installed in the truck. I don't get any lights ,but I can here the relays click when I push the button. The inside of the shift motor was pretty rusty around the magnets. Should I pull the motor again and put voltage on it to test? or is there a test that I can do with the motor still on the truck?

See if there is any voltage going to the motor. Check all of the connections including any ground wires.
