Camp Spike (AKA RiverBreeze)

hey guys,

you guys are welcome to camp at my place again. however i might have to impose a few points of understanding this time. check out on sunday is noonish (after a aweekend i like to get home early enough to unpack and be ready for work monday morning ) jd, last year you kept me there until almost dark .........that will not happen again. As to high powered rifles.........nothing that shoots copper jackets or any copper will be permitted. You will be surprised how many trees have been killed by copper fragments... "copper nail" is not a wives tale. Trees equal dollars and i am not willing to throw away dollars.

You guys will be welcome to throw a sleeping bag anywhere on the lower two levels (the third is for me and wife). Ac will be running but plumbing is not complete so porta potty is still there. i may have electric more complete but if not we will have to work off extension cords like last time. Pool table and makeshift bar will be functioning in the basement.

if you elect to camp at the other property i may have the well functioning off a generator by then.

I see that most have selected the weekend of June 8-10 as a target. Unfiortunately i will be entertaining another group from tidewater that weekend so it is out. The rest of june is OK.

motorcycles and ATVs are fine as long as they are 4 strokers with mufflers. i ride dual sport motorcycles and will likely bring one with me. i have no desire to listen to whiny two strokers so leave them at home.

if you fish.......bring your gear..... this is probably one of the best stretches for smallmouth. Canoes, kayaks, Tubes are cool and we can set you up with shuttles. Down river is about 4 mile class 1-2 trip. From the upstream is about 6 miles class 1 with some long slow sections. Tubing can be done staying on the property with about a mile of frontage (long enough to drink a beer and shuttle back up to top).

Sorry about that didnt know you was trying to get out of there we was just hanging out wile you worked on the house,promise ill be gone right after breakfast this time and i know we apologize about the tree last time but ill say it again we're really sorry about that,no guns will be brought at all!! I think you're the first person who I've heard call two strokes "whiny" haha guess us Georgians like our 2 smokes.
Anyways, I ride a KX 250f, while it is a 4 stroke it's pretty loud. I have the stock muffler and a muffling exhaust plug but it's definitely not a dual sport.
Although I'm not sure I can bring it as I'm waiting on my top end to get here and then I gotta instal it (with my dad's help )
So I'm guessing I'll just bring the explorer and kayak (maybe)
Should I sleep in the back of the explorer or will it be to hot for that?

Spike, thank you for letting us camp out. Looks like we'll bump the dates back another week or two.

colintrax, I think it'll be too warm to stay cooped up in a truck unless the windows are down. I was planning on putting up a hammock outside or making a shelter half with a tarp and mosquito netting with a cot underneath.

I'm down for an overnighter. Drive up, stay overnight, wheel the next day, go home. Or drive up, wheel that day, stay overnight, then head home the next morning.
