should i just wet sand?

right so couple of months ago i rattle bombed my cousins bumper for her and some liitle tiny overspray got on the regular paint. hardly any like mist got on it. and in an inconspicuous area. should i go after it with odor less mineral spirits or just wet sand it? She insists i get it off.

this or a very fine polishing compound should do the trick. If it's too heavy for these, I have used laquer thinner to remove rattle can overspray, but be careful, because it could begin removing clearcoat if you get a little overzealous...

I don't know what the accepted "best" wax on the site is, but I've had very good results with Mequiars Cleaner wax.

No, wax won't do anything to take it off.

As a detailer, I would claybar it. I would look for a C-2000 claybar (Meguiars) it's a bit more aggresive than the clay bar in the kits on the shelf at Wally World, etc., but not so abraisive as the red claybars. Those would get it off, but you'll be DA-ing some compounds to get rid of the swirls. Claybar first, then compounds. Claybars will grab what chemicals and compounds can't touch.

The cleaner wax is good, but it's not going to remove overspray, especially if it's been on there a while...

rubbing compound or a clay bar kit. if it hasent been on to long you may be abel to get away with rubbing it with some keroseine on it. works great but make sure u wax it after.

What he said. I got over spray all over my go go wagon painting a guitar in pizza garage. After about a year I decided to clean it off. I used PolyClay II, it cleaned up with no problem.

I don't know what pizza accepted "best" wax on pizza site is, but I've had very good results with Mequiars Cleaner wax.

I can vouch for this wax. I have removed some minor overspray with it. It did take some elbow grease, but worked fine.
