I like that, that's the kind of look I'd want in a lifted truck. The tire are located just right.

I personally like the two tone with tan or gray lower body panels, not the two tone red or two tone green... but I've got what I've got and can't complain

I am so glad this thread was started, I love seeing everyone's mountaineers. Mountaineergreen...that is one of the cleanest lifted ones ive seen, i love those 3rd gen explorer wheels with the all terrains. Here are a couple pics of my mounty, which i am selling.

I looked at mine last year after you pointed it out. It says Moutaineer Mercury.

Jon, I had noticed that a couple of years ago. Ford fixed it in 1999, I have always thought it stupid to place the model name before the make. I ripped the "MarkVII ... Lincoln" stickers off of my LSC SE years ago.

Another trivia ?, who has a painted grille, I will eventually get one painted. Regards,

CDW6212R -- Isnt that mercury emblem on your grill from the 02-present mountaineers? Did you just attach a new emblem to the older grill, because I like it a lot.

looks like it, if you look between the lines in the "M" you can see something sticking out.

Good eye, that is just the 2002+ emblem setting on top of the stock 2000 emblem. I bought both, and haven't gotten to the paint stage yet. The newer emblem is better to me, it will take a slight amount of whittling and a dab of epoxy, 20-30 minutes of work. Regards,

that looks nice with that newer emblum, i could never figure out how to remove my grille, i looked for tuts and everything couldnt find one, how do you get the grille off?
