2025 Explorer Platinum
Yesterday, I purchased a new 2025 Ford Explorer Platinum from Ford Country in Henderson NV. The finance manager whose first name is Ed took me to the cleaners for my financing. He had the audacity to tell me Ford had to make a profit on the sales price, when Ford Country is making a small fortune on the financing at 7.69 percent interest. I have no confidence in Ed. He is a terrible asset to Ford Country. Shame on him. I will never buy from Ford Country again.😖

Unless you have some bumps in your credit, Ford Credit is offering 3.9% for 60 months or 4.9% for 72 months PLUS $1,500 Bonus Cash Rebate. OR, 0% for 48 months with no rebate, all assuming you live in the Henderson area zip codes. If you did 84 month financing 7.9 could be a great rate. You did shop your local banks or credit unions for comparison?

So you signed on the line agreeing to all of this financing, now you are blaming someone else? Any financial agreement you made is completely upon you to read and understand BEFORE agreeing to it. Who made you buy a new car? I don't see how you could possibly blame someone else. I'm sure nobody put a gun to your head.

Seems like there's more to this. However, I did look at their website and appears they are not showing the subvened APR specials from Ford Credit though www.ford.com does clearly show the APR incentives.

No one forced you to finance at that rate. They’re a business, of course they try to make as much money as possible on you. Coming here just to complain is pretty lame if you ask me.

Another satisfied customer.

Welcome to the Forum.
Are you using the dealer's financing? If so, why not use Ford Credit? The financing for my vehicles all goes through either Ford Credit or Lincoln Automotive Financial Services.

The OP's only posts were the two in this thread and on the same day they joined. They might be working their way through the interweb complaining about their bad decision.

In any case, it's 100% the fault of the OP that he agreed to anything he wasn't happy with.

Go to your local financial institution and refinance it and learn a valuable lesson about getting your loan in order BEFORE you walk into a dealership. They are there to make money, not friends.

84 month loans?????? Are you serious?
Holy moley these are vehicles not houses!

I’m so glad not to have had a car payment in 30 years and my wife 12 years now we keep driving and putting money into our old stuff.

Could you imagine paying close to $1,000 a month for 84 months? You could buy 2 houses in the Philippines for that and have some cash left over.

How much is a 2025 platinum? 58k?

My mom got the st because she wanted blue. We traded in her 2017 platinum on it and my dad paid cash. Now all she says is she loves her new car but man oh man she missed the luxury seats from the platinum

The plat wasn’t available 6 months ago and it certainly wasn’t available in blue.
I personally like her 25 st….. vroom vroom

The question is, how much did the dealer mark up the price? Still pretty common for a dealer to tack on $5-10k in fees for nothing. I wouldn't doubt this car costing $85,000 after all the interest is paid.

A Platinum starts at $52,525. If you add the 3.0L engine, you must also select the Ultimate Package, and the total comes to $59,140.
