Went to Home Depot today to pick up some PVC for my snorkel, and they didn't carry any 2.5''. Checked Lowes online and they don't carry it either. Where did you guys find 2.5'' PVC? Can I use 3'' without any major issues?

i found my 2.5" at menards....if you are going to use an arb top...the 3" top fits the 2.5" pipe (3" o.d.) and the 3.5" top fits the 3" pipe (3.5" o.d.) I would suggest getting the 2.5 if you can...there isnt alot of room under the fender, and there is already some bfh work that needs to be done to make it all fit...

Crap. No Menards near me. Doesn't look like I'm going to have the time to order all the parts and get this done this week.

BTW< thanks for diggin' up the link, Brooklyn.

Did you look in the electrical section? IIRC, when I did the snorkel install, they didn't have what I needed in the plumbing section, but did in the electrical conduit area.

The PVC electrical conduit is gray while plumbing PVC is white. ABS is black, but I don't know if it comes in this size. If it does, it will be about half the weight. Lowe's in my area does not sell the pipe in the above link.

Maybe not in NY, but it's quite common in PA stores. Might be an electrical code issue.

Shot of the one I installed during mockup.

How did you bend the pipe?....

Is there any advantage to doing this or is it only for show? After all, air will enter the engine through the air filter box just as long as there is an opening on it.

I bent my pipe with a torch.

It's used for offroading so you can go through deeper water without hydrolocking the motor.

Wow, I definitely didn't check the electrical section, only plumbing. I'll make a run back over there tonight.

I had looked through your snorkel build last night, didn't realize you used 3'' PVC. What fender work did you have to do to get it to work?
