I am in the process of putting a sohc in my 1997 twin traction beam ranger, oil pan clearance is minimal, so I would like to put the ohv oil pan on my sohc motor for more cross member clearance. I read the tech article from doug about going the other way (ohv to sohc oil pan ) and I was wondering if someone could help me out with exactly the parts I need to do this swap... I think I need the oil pan, and a different pickup right? Do I need different main bolts too? Thanks ahead of time!

What year SOHC motor do you have?

I was able to put a OHV pan on my SOHC when I converted. There are some early SOHC motors that have a vibration damper under the pan and the OHV pan will not.

The 4WD SOHC has a balance shaft, which likely wouldn't clear the OHV pan.
