Yes, the Explorer 302 oil pan is shaped wildly compared to other pans. The aluminum pan is identical in shape, but the steel pan could be tweaked if needed.

I could care-less about the warranty on the headers. I am going to add an EGR, and have them coated, I'm fairly certain that I'm going to get a LONGER life out of them versus the out of the box painted header.

I know some minor tweaks will be needed to keep the stock pipe..

I am going to buy a couple of mandrel bends to splice into the stock pipe to take the new shape around the pan. I really want/need to keep the forward Catalytic Converters.

just thought I'd let you know Ryan, a fl-1a oil filter threads onto that adapter perfectly.

So it should work for all oil filter relocators made for mustangs.

JK it ad a 4.0 lol but heres the mods... 8'' beams per side, Custom Deaver leaf pack, Full cage (bumper to bumper) 20'' travel front/rear, Fiberwerx front clip, King 2.5 resi custom valved for spring rate and weight of course 35'' BFG All Terrains, and a ton of other crap...... I totalled it in 06' My buddy and I were hunting and rolled it. He didn't make it........ So please guys, do not drink and drive. This kind of stuff does, and will happen. Take it from me. R.I.P Russ we miss you man. We started building the explorer I have right now together, so it means a lot to me. But anyways, geez. I got wayyyy off the subject. I just got all the wiring removed from the `97, so now I can start working in the heated garage...and put it all back together.

This should get interesting...and I ALWAYS take pics!!! LOL

The White Explorer that I drive was originally owned by my Aunt. She passed away a few years ago at age 49. She was always the typical 'favorite aunt'...I spent summers with her in California. And to this day, she is the only one in my family that has ever seen me in competition. I was once ranked 5th in the Nation as a SpeedSkater, and it was my aunt that took me to my first Regionals Competition in Oregon. When I was younger I had an S-10 that was shaved and lowered. My aunt REALLY liked it. So I know she would like what I am doing to HER Explorer....and that's why I do what I do...

Plan:

Keep the `92 Exterior as it is....
Install the `97 dash, console, and door panels.
Install the `97 GT40P and 4R70W transmission
Install the `97 Disc Brake 3.73:1 Rear Axle for now..

Eventually I will sell the Disc Brake rear, and install a IRS.
