I was searching around for an answer, but have come up with this.

Not sure if it's right, maybe someone here could help.

I did all four disks about 6 months ago, and just recently, they started to squeal. But they will only squeal on the last 5 feet before stopping. During regular driving/braking they make no sounds. Just at the very last few feet of stopping. Weird.

So from my searching, I've found that I DID NOT add any grease to the caliper sliders, or whatever it's called. So this may be the problem. (I didn't know I had to add grease when I did the brakes)

Does this sound like that would be the problem, no grease? If so, I've also read not to use regular grease. Is there special grease just for this application? What is it called?

Thanks!

regular grease works fine... as long as it says it is ok for use on disk brake bearings and applictions....

it could be the noise, but there are also several other things that could be the nosie, it may even be the rear shackles or suspension shifting... and if that is the case, there isnt too much you can do about it
