Split Armrest Issue

I have the same problem on my 2013 Explorer drivers armrest. I have extended warranty, took it to dealer--not covered. I don't really want to pay for entire door panel. Thought I might try a glue and pressure, but I don't want to mess it up. Suggestions??

My 2012 did the same. I ordered leather/vinyl rectangle patch with adhesive from amazon after many failed attempts to repair. They slide on very easily, look like just a custom door, and have held up for over a year no issues
