38's might be fine for just street driving. But, if you take it offroad you will really be pushing the limits of the front driveline. I think I am pushing the limits of the stock front driveline with 35/36" tires.

johnstone u r the man for carrying around tie rods........... thats some serious dedication lol...... good point...... i think i still gotta run 38's for the big factor....lol...... p.s just ordered 3" torsion keys :)
 






Ok, after that incident, I did come up with a solution for my tie rods. But, the big tires are still pretty rough on the frontend when wheeling. I've gone through a few power steering pumps. Replaced my rack and pinion. Countless CV axles. A few hub bearing assemblies. Some of this stuff is also due to having a front locker. :p:

helpp anybody!!!!!!! Truck goes out tom for the driveshaft!!!!! be rolling and driving asap as soon as it comes back. Just installed the new Monster Trans Heavy duty trans, and big heavy duty BogWorner T case...... just changing the fluids today to let her go. Quick Question..... i have a new screamin demon coil with the LiveWires wats the best F'in Plug i can put in this 4.0Lsohc 04 ST???? BEST spark plug for this ignition!!!!!!!!!!!!??????

Yea but exterior wise it looks the same.............been working on the trans and t case...... getts dropped off for the shaft tom. then wel have some more pics goin........ march will b 1 year its been apart.... so i wanna b able to say it was done in a year! hahaha thanksfor the help guys..... any one got a better idea than the bushwacker pocket flares???? they look kinda puss on the website.... wat u guys think?
 






What transmission and transfer case did you get? 38's will make your front end cry.
 






Trans and T case from Monster Transmissions. Its a heavy duty 5r55e and a BW with heavy duty internals as well..... I have 4:10 in the rear Diff but im not putting the front driveshaft back in ..... untill i can afford to do my front diff, which i havnt looked into yet either ( if any one has any recomendations) but that wont be for a couple weeks anyway. Shel b a 2 wheel drive street queen first to work the kinks out....... then we step it back up into the 4wd game lol........ MONEY IS A *****! lol
 












I run 4.88's with 33's. Go with 5.13's. You'll be sorry if you don't.

I use 4.88 and 36s and i would love the 5.13s

If your gonna do it. Do it right the first time.
 












Yeah, your going to need lower gearing, especially pulling the weight of 4 mud tires in the back.
 






i have no problem with doing the gearing....... 5:13's is most likely the best option. my problem is finding 38s that are thin enough not to rub on the inner tire...... looking for cookie cutter mudders i guess lol

I F'n finished it and drove it for 3 days...... 180 miles the NEW trans let go. Then they sent me another trans, and it had the wrong bell housing. so now im waiting on my 3rd F'n trans...... Do Not do buissness with Monster transmission. aka EatMyShift.com . They now have my money and i have 3 trannys that dont work in my truck. And not to mention i bought a trans and a t-case from them. F**K!
