Hello, I get a consistant squeeking sound when my X is in forward motion, that just started, and sounds like a worn or hanging brake shoe. After inspecting all four disks, the shoes show little ware and don't think it's the brakes. I determined that the squeeking sound is eminating from the passenger side, but can't pinpoint it. Any one have an idea where and what this squeeking sound is?

Thanks

Any moving part can squeek if not lubricated properly.

Check belts, bearings, shocks (might be a long shot), hubs, etc. If it moves on that side check it out.

Without hearing it I can't offer much help.

Maybe passenger side wheel bearing?

I had a similar issue a few years back and it was brakes. Caliper on driver's side wasn't retracting fully and trashed the rotor. Since you have already ruled that out, sounds like you've got another mystery creak. Good luck.

CVs?

Thanks everyone for your input, I plan to dig a little deeper this Saturday. Funny thing though, it didn't make that noise today on my way to work???
