40 psi and will not start
ok my 91 explorer will not start. it will fire up and then die it will do this all the time, but after a while it will start. i have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter and checked the plugs. i have ran seafoam thru my intake and any other type of fuell aditive you can think of and it will help for a little while then back to the same thing.
tonight it would not start and stay runing had to have a buddy spray starting fluid into the manifold while i was cranking and then it started. if i just sprayed the starting fluid into the manifold and tryed to start it it would fire and die.
so then i get it runnig and on the way home i hit the gas and it stalls. once i had it started i would have to slowly work my way up to 2000rms it would not go any higher then that when it was in gear. if it was in park it it would rev as hi as i wanted. but it would spuder if i just mashed it. i would slowly have to rev it up there.
so then as i was going home it would stall out on a hill i would put it into neutral and hit the brakes so that i would not roll backwards. i would have to rev it up for about 2 minutes before i could put it into gear and take off. i had to do that about 4 times.
i think it is something with the fuel system but i dont know any more. any sugestion would be helpfull :fire:
