ignition switch maybe?

Since it started having the issue once the new starter was installed, I'd guess the new starter or the installation is the issue.

Could just be a sticky solenoid on the starter itself, could be cheap, poor quality mechanicals in the starter, could be the starter gear isn't meshing well with the flywheel teeth and so doesn't disengage. Could even be that you were sold the wrong starter for the vehicle. Be sure the part number is correct and that you have the correct starter for the model year and the type of transmission it has.

I'd suggest removing the starter and inspecting the gearing on it and the flywheel, and perhaps even taking it to get tested to be sure of proper operation. When re-installing, check and double check for proper alignment, be sure the starter isn't angled and the bolts and mounting surface aren't causing it to be at even a slight angle. You may also need to check that the starter gear is in the proper position and engaging the flywheel teeth correctly, if not you may need to use spacers or shims, or figure out what the issue is.

There's a chance that the fender solenoid is just old/worn out and replacing it will fix the issue, if nothing is wrong with the starter.

Sorry should of explained better Sunday the old starter started missing per say I got under there both bolts were loose tightened them up she worked good then Wednesday starter would just not engage but would spin so went to pick and pull found a fairly nice one that had a 2013 tag on it. Put it in started right up then today leaving work it turned over 3 times almost fired off then "locked up" nothing when i hit the key i get out jump the fender solenoid fired right up The fender solenoid is less than a year old

Check your main ground(s).

There are 3 not counting the cable on the negative side. One to the body from the cable, two go to a plug kind of under the battery tray that ground the computer.

Then if your negative cable is hot while trying to crank the cable is bad.

I know it isn't the "proper way" but My factory terminals died forever ago, so I put new ends on them. This isn't ideal but it worked. Well when I did this I separated the little grounds individually on their own terminals ending at the new negative terminal.

Just a few weeks ago, I had an issue with a cranks no start, couldn't hear fuel pump. It turned out to be the computer wasn't grounded (verified by voltmeter) and by replacing half of each wire with a new ring terminal and a whole new wire from negative terminal to ground on the body, problems were solved.

OK with a meter check the small wire going to the solenoid every time you turn the key to start you should get 12 volts through that wire . if you do then the solenoid is bad if not the your switch is bad . thats what I feel is the problem . I could be wrong but I think this line is worth checking . Good luck with this . Check this out & let us know what you find . we are here to help . :D
