so I've had recent problems getting my 2001 sport trac to start. I get the clicking noise sometimes, before I'm able to turn the engine over. Today, it clicked many times, until it no longer clicked.... then i waited about 10 minutes and it clicked and turned over.
it sounds like it's either a battery power cable to the starter relay or I might need a new relay....
since it's night time, I haven't had a chance to see where the starter relay is.
AAP sells starter relays for the fender only.... yet, they sell starters but the relay comes already with it...
so is the starter relay on the fender or with the starter?.... why don't they sell the relay on the starter separately (they only have it for the fender)? i'd hate to have to buy a new starter when all i need is a new relay
