Starting full width D44 SAS...B4 I order, what do you guys think??

no go on the bcbronco's eb adjustable bar.... it's even about 2" shorter then i wanted it to be for my narrow D44..... but i got a welder.... i aint scared

Why spend $140 on something you are going to have to modify to work, if it was 2" to short for you it will be about 5" to short for him

I have a superlift Adj.tracbar for a 78 f-150 on the way, I am currently using a stock f-150 tracbar.
My shock mounts(2"),coil buckets(2") & tracbar mount(~1") are all spaced out. and my lower spring retainers are "clocked" for best fit, I am using one of the orignal bolt holes and drilled a new hole.
Should/when it stops raining here in WA I will get you some pics of what has worked for me.
The coil buckets off the 78 f-150 are not flat like what appears in the photos of the EB coil buckets I have seen, and move the coils out about 1". here is a couple pics of my buckets from awhile back.

did you grab your axles off a f150 or bronco? I was planning on geting the superlift adjustable trac bar for the 78-79 bronco, since my axles are off a bronco!!

When the bronco went full size in 78 it used the f-150 suspension, So I would assume they are the same.

I bought a whole donor vehicle(78 f-150 w/ 4" lift) and took what I wanted, stripped off what I could sell and then called the hulk hauler.

Thats good to know information. What year(s) of F150 did it use the suspensions on? I can keep an eye out for these years of F150 when I do the shopping.

I basically did the same thing to my donor bronco. Ripped out evreything I wanted, helped my friend take out what he wanted, and got rid of the bronco. What kind of tires you planning on running?

i dont have to modify anything... instead of me welding my trac-bar mount to the outside of the frame now it gets mounted under the frame just thought i would be nice and post what i previously said i would post.

bcbroncos dont have length spec's on there web site and i thought there was a chance... besides the F150 and EB bars are not very thick walled... this one is 1/4" DOM threaded in about 6" with a 3/4" heim... very nice quality compaired to the adjustable ones my friends use.

EDIT: Just found some threads saying 140-150 shipped. Not a bad deal at all, considering it would cost 30 bucks for the F250 shock mounts (w/ shipping) and 80 + shipping for the new 78-79 buckets.

I emailed Potsy a little while ago to see how much extra it would be to have them already spaced out for the full width. I don't see why they wouldn't work on an Explorer. The guys on RRORC are using them with d44's on their Rangers and BII's.

Ok, just talked to him on AIM. The 140 and 150 shipped prices on RRORC are for paying members only. The ones for non-RRORC members are 175 shipped. And in this case, you'd still need to space them out, etc. He said he could "build in" the space but he'd need the truck there to make sure everything turns out right. So basically, I'm either going to have a local shop build some with the spacing already in there or just go back to the 78-79 buckets and F250 shock towers.

Hmmmm... it seems like I will probably go with the 78-79 buckets and f250 shock towers too!! If its already 175 for non members plus shipping to Hawaii, thats gonna be a lotta mula!! Especially if I'm gonna have to space them out anyways! Oh well, Thanks bmxking!

BTW, do any of you happen to know if the diameter of the coil springs are the same for both the 78-79 bronco and the EB? In other words, would the wildhorse coils fit in the 78-79 buckets/retainers?

Yes it will fit, that is why most of the people use the 78-79 buckets with W.H. EB coils.

I am still going to buy pottsys if I do it again. I like the upper retainer or lack there of. Also, might as well pay the membership fee and then buy them I am running EB width and I cut my stocker buckets to fit over the lump in the drivers side then welded them on. I would do the same with his. Only problem is the ones I fabbed have bump stops, shock towers, brake line mounts and spring buckets all in one. His have no bump stops, but I will probably add a mount for my brake lines like I did on the ones I built...
