Straight pipe or true dual

Hey I'm new to this but I have a stock 1998 Ford Explorer sport, and I'm trying to decide if I wanna go with a single straight pipe exhaust or a true dual exhaust system? Any suggestions on which would be better to keep my high and low end power but get the sound I'm looking for ?

I think you posted this in the wrong forum (this is the 2011-2016 Explorer section), but my opinion is true duals are always the better option. Possibly more expensive, but better.

I put true dual exhaust on my 99 with the V8......makes all the little ponies jealous at red lights.
