Hello, and thank you in advance for any insight you may have for my project. While I was looking for some gt40p heads for my project, I found a 2000 long block for $125. I bought it, disassembled it and took it to a good friend's engine shop for machine work. He had the cam reground at Holman Moody in Charlotte, based on what I want it for. My wish is to have it tow my open trailer with my Cobra replica on it occasionally, but mainly I drive it to work. The towing up the NC and Va mountains is pretty frustrating. I'm upgrading to 24lb injectors with matching mass airflow sensor based on his advice. I have the cast exhaust manifolds to match the p heads, which is nice, since my tubular exhaust is cracked and leaking. I don't have the patience or desire to wait for torque monster headers, and the cost is more than I want to spend. I'm not looking for tire melting performance, Just hoping 347 is better than 302. It also has AWD, which I like. I'm hoping I can use my 97 intake and other hardware without any problems. I have a plug for the cast manifolds, and hope to use the 97 style EGR and all the other externals from my 97. Am I missing anything? Again, thanks!
