If the water was any higher you'd need a captains license instead of a driver's license :D

Was the X ok after being pulled out?

aside from a stinky mess, yeah, that water was soooooooooooo cold, i had to reach in the water to hook the chain to the hitch, past my elbow, the water was ice covered before i went into it

cold water is very painfull.... I only venture into water if I know the dept ahead of time... I'm too chicken to dig dawg it through any water crossing... If you got water in the cabin chances are the wiring channels are overflowing with water as well..

that was the second time that he had to stick his arm in the water. the first was to get his buddy's dodge out of the hole. i had to hold his legs so he didn't slide off of the hood in to the water. when pulling john out there was so much mud behind the front axle it was hard to believe. the best part is that its all on tape.

he needed to hit it with a little bit more speed. ;) those 33s did a pretty good job of digging. john, running 35s would let you go though the hole, backward that your BII did.

I think someone needs lockers or a winch or both.

dang... i guess thats why they say to know your tow points by feel alone...

you said you got it all on tape.... if you can edit and compress it down to less then 30-40MB i can host it on my webspace - send me a pm if you wanna do that

Looks like ya had fun...need a snorkle though, or at least pull your air intake into the cab.

snorkel is half done as we speak, my brand new filter was trashed to say the least, i am waitng for the video from the guy who had the camera, that's why i got stuck, no snorkel, i entered the hole slow so i wouldn't drown the intake at the headlight, if i would have had speed i think i could have made it, i will be back to try again

You can always remove the intake hose at the air filter box. I hydrolocked mine in a mud bogg. The water (mud) never even came close to the air box. I now run the air box without the air intake behind the headlight.

I don't know, I hit a hole like that with a little speed, and it sunk like a rock! Cleaning the interior was not nearly as bad as I thought. I gutted it, and had a place with a machine that they could fit the entire floor carpet into. Worked well. The seats were pretty much saved, althought I had to clean up the seat switches to get them working again.

i'll find out in a week or two, when i go back and try again, my snorkel is almost done

you dont need a snorkel what you need is some pontoon's so it floats next time

hey at least it never died, so it was able to help the winch out. i think that it was going to be worst if you ex died. lockers would of helped too. so you are going to try to dig the hole it deeper? ;)

cool haha

i'm going back this weekend and trying it again, i'll hit with a little more speed, not as worried now that i have a snorkel made
