hey im new here...but when u try to put a box under the seat u have to look at brakets for the seat and such..determine the maximum size box u could fit under there then when u buy the subs look on the box and see how much room they need they have to breathe right otherwise they will sound muffled or different things

u also might not want to mount the amp under the seat makes it hard to get at and also makes it heat up my dads f-150 had the amp under the seat and it was horrid..also where are u going to mount the capacitor?

cap?? what is that for? i was just gopnna power to amp to speaker. novice installer here.

VERY VERY SMALL is my guess. I have my rockford amps and cap under my seats and they don't fold down all the way anymore. And I didn't mount them on anything because then I wouldn't be able to fold at all. If you're going for hidden sub, get the stealthbox that goes into the right rear storage compartment. Lots of ppl have done that on here.

There are also humps on the floor so it'd be a damn hard box to build, if possible at all. If you NEVER fold your seats maybe you could do it, but I'm doubting it.

You probably don't need a cap, but it's an energy storage device. It charges from the battery and when the subwoofer hits hard (needs more power) it drains the cap instead of the battery so the battery doesn't see a large load variance. Saves the battery from a premature death basically.

I'm thinking you're lucky if you could put any subwoofer under the seats though. But that doesn't mean you can't have bass ;)

the capacitor is kinda a batt its made so when the subs hit hard it doesnt pull from the alt..if u run an amp...say 600 watts and over proly more like 800 but just to be safe well say 600 if u run 600watts and the speakers use the 600watts most likely u will be buying a new alternator in a few years after the one u have no catchs fire...i have had 2 do that b4 i finally figured out wtf was going on

everyone was like...the capacitor is so u get better hit..no no no its also so ur alt doesnt over extend itsself trying to keep u from sucking the spark out of ur engine with ur speakers :D

if u want anymore help or have specific questions hit me up on msn or aim msn(mhn3773@hotmail.com) AIM(XZXMike71)

What I would do if you wanted some bass under your rear seats (your not going to be able to fit very big subs anyway) Is get some nice 6x9's in boxes under there, that way you can save room they will hit nicely, my friend has done it before and it sounds great.
