hey guys, finally gettin rid of the IFS and puttin in a dana 44 so that means new tires! i have 33in BFG M/Ts right now with the 4in superlift so when its all said and done ill have around a 6 1/2 lift sprung over in the rear so obviously i dont want to have that big of a lift and small tires, i decided to simply go to a 34in tire instead of 35 bc the 35s will rub too much when i flex, so my question is how is the tread life on the trxus mts and will i have alignement problems as i hear i may have, thanks for the input guys

You will only gain a 1/2" of ground clearence by running a 34" tire as opposed to the 33" you have now.

I would go with the 35" tires and do some fender trimming.

;) Will only need minor trimming and you won't have little tires on a 6.5" lift

The TrXus M/Ts suck in my opinion - there are reviews in the review section

- good luck on balancing them

I've seen exactly the opposite with the Truxus. Yes, some are defective from the factory and will not balance. They will replace the tires you cannot balance! Both of my kiddos work in a local off-road shop and they have done very well with the Truxus. Customers are happy with them.

As far as performance, they are a great tire -- not up to the level of a bogger for pure mud work, but if you are going to daily drive this truck, I highly recommend the tires. They are quiet on the highway, give adequate mileage to make them a good value as far as wear, and do well on most trails until you get into the total slop that requires a pure mud tire (and even then, they outperform the BFGs, and MTRs!).

I am considering this tire for my truck (currently running ProComp M/T). Any other opinions out there? I have liked the ProComps but need better wet weather pavement traction as this is my daily driver.

I'm currently running the Pro Comp MT's on my 'Sploder -- they are OK, but I'll run a different tire next time.

Either the Truxus or the Kuhmo Venture MT -- and I'm leaning to the Kuhmo. I've had them before and they rock - plus they are inexpensive.

does the kumho come in a 37"?

Nope -- 35s are the top size. That's too bad -- they are super great tires for the price -- 35s are just $145 retail.

They do have a new tread design tire that comes up to 38! The only problem there is that they are for big rims -- 18-20 -- and even 24!

Check out tirerack.com for specs

You are right! But what sucks is that they replaced them with even worse "defective" tires.
