Registration is open for the SWFWDA Summer Quarterly 2010 in Creede, CO July 21st thru 24th. We are trying to get information out early because, like Silverton, there are limited commercial accommodations.
This link is also available on SWFWDA's event web page. The website has web addresses with information on commercial accommodations in Creede and South Fork. South Fork is 21 miles south of Creede and has better accommodations. However, July is the busiest month in the area, so it is recommended to make lodging reservations no later than mid January 2010.
The event is being held at the Mineral County Fairgrounds and free dry camping will be available. The fairgrounds is being developed and is basically a large field. They hope to have water on site but if it is not; a source of water for tent campers or others that may need to replenish their water tanks has been identified. There is also an RV dump station in town. There will be porta-potties and a container for garbage for the campers at the fairgrounds.
Creede is a small town of about 400 residents. It has not had the development that Silverton, Ouray, and Lake City have had but it shares the spectacular scenery of the San Juan Mountains. Additional information on the area and trails will be posted to our event website this spring.

Hope you can join us this summer.
