For all who were interested. I took the truck out yesterday and wow what a difference. I went through some serious crap and the truck just kept going. The guy I was wheeling with had a Heep with 33" MTs with open diffs or whatever comes on 1990 Heeps and he was having a harder time then me, sliding all over the place and I only have 32 ATs. One time I was in some really bad crap and lost traction, I thought I was stuck but I reversed back and then forward with a slightly different angle and came right out of that mud hole, everyone that was watching me was surprised and they cheered when I got out. I never had to gun it, just kept in 2nd gear in 4Lo, feathering the gas, and let it crawl. can't wait to go do it again but I discovered I have a bad CV so I need to replace those puppies first.

Glad it was money well spent and not a disappointment. You go out there and kick azz with that Trac!!

That's always good to hear. You'll easily be gaining peoples respect with it :) Get any pictures of your trip?

I was a little overwhelmed because it was my first time doing some hardcore off roading so I only got one photo of my truck. You can see how deep I was in the slop, just above the back bumper.

damn, now i cant wait to get some aussie lockers! i was waiting to see how your first go with them would turn out and now im juiced! i just came back from a camping trip that included a day at hollister hills out here in cali, it rained a week ago but now its been really hot in the area, and there were a lot of sand pits and ruts everywhere, on one hill there was a steep incline with sand on the landing and i was spinning like crazy. wish i had the lockers on, but now ill have a before experience there that i can compare with once i get my lockers on. thanks for posting and great looking ST

Love the yellow!! I had an Aussie in my 98 Sport and what a difference it made!! With the brown wire mod done and the Aussie in I did quite a bit of wheeling in 2wd and was amazed at what the Ex could do with no power to the front wheels. The more you wheel with it, the more you're going to love it.

Thanks guys. I would be going out again this weekend except for the fact I need to change my CVs. Probably go out the following week if I change them this weekend, time permitting.

Damn my truck is dirty, I have a lot of mud INSIDE my truck.

hey cluster, what brand is that roof basket and how much did you get it for? ive been looking for one the past week and thats the exact style i wanted.

thanks

Yakima Loadwarrior. Got it for 80 bucks on craigslist in like new condition.

Some photos someone else took. This is coming out of the off roading area and is quite tame but the photos are cool nonethless.

Your trac looks good in the mud, Cluster. I'm digging the BFL sticker too! :D

great pictures, keep posting them. makes me want to drive around in the mud too, but summer is in full effect in california, but im not compaining. cant wait to get my lockers.

Summer will mean I soon can't go out wheeling, water/mud will be too deep. Need a swamp buggy at that point.
