Here's a dirty pic. I extended the flat surface out but not totally towards the body because I'm planning on making a cover that conceals the body mounts, etc. I'm not sure what I'm going to make it out of though.
Cool, thanks for the fast reply. I was just wondering how you addressed that issue. I have basicly the same set up with flat area. But I brought it all the way up to the body, with plenty of room to move.
My rollpan has a lip going strait up at the end consealing all of the body mounts. It started life as a fiberglass F-150 pan. I'll have pics in a week or so.
If you get real close and look you can see that there is just a little crack you can see through but its VERY unnoticeable. Hartman.. Did your pan have a lip on the inside top when you got it? I'll try to find a basic pic of what im talking about if i can.
Does it go back far enough? Mine had a lip but it didn't go back far enough. You'll end up having to cut it off anyway because you have to curve that straight rollpan around to match the curvature of the rear hatch.
i know i already made mine. Im just finishing wet sanding my truck and about to paint it. In the top all i did was cut the top like a V and then molded it with fiberglass. From the top view it looks like this kinda but not with the steep angles \__/
LOL yeah now everyone has one or don't want one.... Someone had to make it easy for the others to have a pan.... LOL Some of us are just pioneers and set the bar for others. LOL How is the pan doing now? Update?
