im sure this has been covered...but

i love my cooper discoverer A/Ts an my tires size is 31x10.50..they are great on road..very quiet. they work very well in mud,snow,ice..they are awsome in winter. they have good rain traction(never had a prob with hydroing)..much better then the old crappy things i had on there before(some cheap off brand that the first owner put on it). an the rpice was awsome compared to the BFGs an other tires i looked at. but next time i get summer tires i will go with a more aggresive pattern.

15,156 posts = you talk to much (especially since you don't have an Explorer to discuss on an Explorer-based forum)

I know what the search button is; searching NEVER works when you're looking for something specific. In this case, it will pick up every useless time that particular search word is used (like when someone describes what "tires" they use on their Explorer in their signature, or a thread about getting a flat "tire" last night, or my new Honda came with a temporary spare "tire", etc...)

just a couple I found with one quick search in under a minute

And if you look more specific you'll find what you are looking for. There are thousands of people on here people get different tires for differnt things, so me telling you about my BFG MTs doesn't mean squat to you if you have a street truck.....

DICK CEPEK FUN COUNTRY II's

So far these are the best tires I have had on my BII in the last 12 years, especially considering I found them for $120 ea, 33x12.50x15.

Yes, I left out that I need street tires (honest mistake); big difference (pun intended) in needing street tires and off road tires.

But, this is a discussion forum; why can't we discuss these topics? If everybody searched (and didn't post anything), there would be no need for a forum; it would be a F.A.Q./Archive site.

That one thread is April 04; that's 1 1/2 years old. How about an Aug 05 (going on Sep 05) thread on current models/current offers on street tires?

they are good street tires too, hahaha

Maybe this should be the "ultimate street tire thread" then

delete this thread ha. Anyway, street tires? Are we talking for regular 15s with like 17s and stuff? My explorer came with the Michilein LTX M/S 235/75/15s and those were very nice tires. I actually still have them in my basement, waiting for my dads jeep tires to go and then put those on.

actually [edited for illicit content], i do have an explorer, and just last week put on p235/75/15 firestone destination LE tires on it. also put the same tires in a 31" size on our 4x2 durango... they are nice tires.... great for a street vehicle... we dont take the durango or x offroad, i take my 4x2 yota for that.....
