is the first and second gen explorers have a bigger hatch than a 2002 and so on explorer?

no, they're pretty close to the same size, the 3rd gen is probably a little bigger though.

thanks i was thinking of upgradeing to a newer explorer later down the road. wasnt sure to decide on a second generation or a 3rd generation. they both look good
