If I were to do a body lift on my 03 XLS with the class 2 tow package, would I still be able to tow? From what i understand the hitch is welded to the frame so if I lift it there will be a 3 inch gap between the bumper and the hitch right?

the hitch is bolted to the frame just so you know its 3 bolts on each side if i remember right. cuz you have the class 2 hitch you can flip your hitch so it looks stock but honestly i wouldn't worry about it. i say use that gap to your advantage. throw some reverse lights in there or a back up camera or whatever you think you can add lol. i added 1.5x3 inch rectangle fog lights to the hole to fill it up then wired a relay to my reverse lights so they kick on with the reverselights or when i hit the switch. makes hooking up or dropping the trail so easy at night

I'll have to go check it out for myself tomorrow. I'm still on the fence about the whole lift thing mainly because I'm still accumulating the funds to do it but more than likely I think I'm going for it! Thanks again for all the help

yep if you have anymore questions post em up. there are alot of people on here that have installed the body lift so they can throw in there 2 cents to help you out also

Yeah I know, I think for now I'm just gonna go with a 2.5/2 RoadBully lift and keep my 255's until there worn down or i find someone who wants them. once there done though I'll throw on the body lift and 33's or even 35's if I can make em fit!

its gonna take alot of cutting to fit 35s with those spacers but if you are willing to cut anything can happen. i would say go with 33s wih that lift it makes it nice and clean
