Been getting an occasional code 524 (?) (throttle position sensor over normal voltage) when tooling down the highway in drive at higher RPMs, 2800-3200 (I was doing this as an experiment before changing my gear ratio).

My question is, is this probably due to a bad TPS? Anyone else had similar problems? If so, how'd you resolve it? As usual, thanks in advance for all the wisdom!

It's most likely a maladjustment of the TPS sensor (search for tps adjustment tips). Don't think it's a bad sensor if it's intermittent. Also sometimes the IAT, intake air temp sensor, can cause TPS codes, but this is on later models.
