Looks Great!

Finally got around to changing the rear differential fluid for the new gears. Along with the fluid change came some new beef from RuffStuff!

Used a Lube Locker gasket with the install too. Very impressed with both the cover and gasket.

My friend is inspired to do a vw diesel swap cause of this build.

Latest project:
IMG_8533.jpeg

Driver window started having trouble rolling up and down. Sure enough, it was the typical culprit, the motor bushings.

A while back I bought two new Dorman window motors on closeout from Rockauto. One for each door. They were cheap and figured I’d need them eventually.

Swapped the new driver motor in, but was still having the same up and down issue. Pulled the motor back out, checked and lubed the regulator and tracks. New motor back in, same problem.

So pulled the motor out, again, and popped the cover off…

Brand new and not a bushing in sight…

Popped the cover off the new passenger side motor, luckily it had bushings!

So, swapped the internals from the passenger side motor to the driver side. Installed motor again, now we’ve got a working window.

I got those R/A Motors when on Discount recently too, just because of how cheap they was. 🤣

After seeing this, I will take the covers off and look for the bushings. I have a few spare sets of them laying around if needed.

Have fun at your CO Meet!

Have fun at your CO Meet!
It'll be the first time the Explorer has seen a trail in almost four years! Let's hope it all goes well. Trailering it to and from the trail just in case something happens.

It’s really good when that trail ends at your house!

Have fun be safe take pics!!
