i know this thread is for sport tracs, but heres my truck with 285/70r17 Cooper Discoverer STT's. i loved how this wheel/tire combo looked, definitely glad i went with a 17" rim over 16"
The only negative I can think of on the 17s, besides tire prices, is that the tire doesn't look as big as it would on a smaller wheel. I'm definitely happy to have 17s, though.
I'm leaning towards the 15's just for that reason. I have to have an intermediate step of 33s I think unless I can get the body lift done sooner before I can stuff 35s
Very true...
It took you a weekend to do the BL right? I don't have spring break free and my next break isn't until summer to work on it but if I can do it in 1 weekend I might be able to do it here at school.
I would estimate that it took me 20 hours over three days with two helpers. Plan ahead and have a completely free calendar in case you run into any complications and need to work overtime to finish.
Don't know if I can see myself on one of those things... too slow haha. But thanks for the encouragement.
How hard was it to do the cab section? I saw you took the bed off and I think I'll do the same to get better access if for nothing else.
@Kazer... sick Ex man. Im lovin' the front end of that thing
@01STrunner... lets see who gets their tires/ wheels first its my goal to get 33s and 15's on by the end of the summer. Im in school too haha. And I have to pay rent :\ but I think I can do it, I scored a sweet internship gig. Next year I may get on with Allison Transmission too!
Im at Purdue University, freshman in Mechanical Engineering Technology... and its kicking my ass. I'm prolly gunna switch to Computer Graphics Tech. I get some welding and metallurgy schooling this semester tho so thats kinda cool.
That's awesome. I'm in ME too at Clemson. I'm looking at a welding class next semester but need to know how to weld this summer. Not sure how that's gonna work.
